3 Simple Steps to Get Microsoft Word Online

Microsoft Word is one of the most
popular word processing programs in use today, and it’s not hard to see why with its fast and easy-to-navigate user interface, powerful editing tools,
amazing collaboration functions, and familiar formatting options, it’s the
perfect solution for all your word processing needs. But there’s one problem you can only install Microsoft Word on your home computer! What if you need to
edit a document stored on another computer?

Step 1: Create your account

1. Head to the Office 365 signup
page and click Get started.

2. Fill out your email address and other required
information, then click Next. 

3. Select a password, enter it again for verification, and click Next.

4. You can choose a free trial or provide
payment information, but if you’re just testing it out, you can go with the free
trial. 

5. Click Create Account when done. Once the account has been created,
log in and click Set up online access. If this is your first time logging in,
follow the on-screen instructions and activate your account (again).

 Depending on your internet connection speed, the process will take approximately 10 minutes or less. Once completed, you’ll have an account that gives you
access to the following:

Microsoft Excel Online, Microsoft PowerPoint Online, Microsoft OneNote Online, Microsoft Outlook Web
App, Microsoft Word Web App, Office Online Apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), OneDrive, Office Mobile Applications, (iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets), Skype for Business Online, SharePoint Online, Windows Live ID, Office 365
ProPlus, Office 365 Enterprise E1, Office 365 Education, Office 365 Home
Premium, Exchange Online, Lync Online, Office Professional Plus 2016 (includes
Project Professional 2016 and Visio Professional 2016), Office Home &
Student 2016 (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote), Visio
Professional 2016 and Project Standard 2016.

Install Word Online by signing
into your Microsoft account: Log in with the same email and password you used
for step one. Once logged in, click Install. Click OK at the confirmation
prompt. It may take about 30 seconds for Word Online to be installed; once it’s
finished installing, you should see Install Now Complete! And that’s all there
is to it!

Step 2: Install the program

The first step is to visit the
Office 365 sign-up page and choose the type of subscription you want (you can
get either a Personal or Home subscription). You’ll need your credit card
information for this. It doesn’t cost anything unless you cancel within the
trial period, but it will take some time for the program to download. 

The
second step
is that you’ll be asked if you want your new account name and
password emailed to you. This might be a good idea if you’re working from multiple devices so that your password isn’t stored on any one
device. If not, just click No thanks. 

The third step is downloading the
installation file and following the directions to install it on your
computer. A window should pop up asking you where you want to save the file –
typically C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice15. Once the installer has
completed, launch Word by opening the application by clicking All Programs
> Microsoft Office > Microsoft Word 2013 > Enter.

tailored specifically for different needs such as resumes, newsletters or
invitations. You can also select from three font styles: serif (think Times New
Roman), sans serif (think Arial) or script (think cursive). The type of
template you use will dictate what fonts are available for use. For example, if
you choose a newsletter template, then all of the fonts that come with that style
will automatically appear on the toolbar. You can then pick which one you want
to use when creating your document.
